Hitchhiking tip #3: If you’re in the straight part of town, stand so that the traffic is approaching you from the rear (like the man in the photo). If you’re in the gay part of town, however, stand facing the traffic so their first view is of your front. But, for heaven sakes, take off the bandana. (Exception: If you’re in the part of town favored by bikers & the Leather community, stand against a wall, strike a casual pose with bandana in place …and wait).
